About Lisa

A Certified Health Counselor/Gyrotonic® and Pilates instructor for over 20 years, Lisa is passionate about maximizing her clients’ health and wellbeing in a supportive and motivating style.

Lisa received her certification for Integrative Nutrition at Teachers College at Columbia University, in
New York City. She is certified by the AADP, leads workshops on nutrition, and offers individual health counseling.

Lisa has been a Gyrotonic and Pilates instructor since 1999. She came to these modalities after a series of injuries when she needed something that would be strengthening and healing. As a former gymnast, track and field athlete her teaching style is to encourage clients to move through any hurdles, or specific goals in supportive ways. 

In 1994 she was part owner of the first Gold’s Gym in NYC. In 1999 she opened a Gyrotonic and Pilates studio on Long Island.

In 2007 she attended Columbia teachers College and received a certification in Integrative Nutrition. She believes it’s everything-movement that nourishes, food that nourishes and nourishing thoughts.”

In the winter she can be found on the slopes of Vermont and Utah with her two sons.

In the summer on her paddle board always intrinsically incorporating her knowledge for both sports then just letting go….
